A healthy jaw with a right bite<\/h2>\n

Around 80% of people grind or press with their teeth, and they do it unknowingly, especially at night.
\nThe problem is, that the surfaces of the teeth are grinded off, and a lot of valuable tooth substance is lost. Besides that, the jaw joint suffers, as the muscles of our chewing system are connected to our spinal and neck musculature. Thus, even a minor displacement in the jaw joint can trigger highly diverse afflictions. In medical language, this disease is called craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD).<\/p>\n

Possible symptoms of a CMD:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Pain of the jaw joint and chewing muscles<\/li>\n
  • Tooth pain<\/li>\n
  • Popping sounds in the jaw joint<\/li>\n
  • Cephalea and neck pain<\/li>\n
  • Back pain<\/li>\n
  • Tinnitus<\/li>\n
  • Jaw motion restriction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    These afflictions can usually be eradicated or remedied with specially manufactured grinding or occlusal splints. Depending on the individual causes and on the set diagnosis, additional treatments, such as physiotherapy or osteotherapy or even acupuncture can be helpful.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
